GREEN-PR Internship

The GREEN-PR Network is an environmental leadership program designed to develop professional experience and leadership in sustainable development initiatives across Puerto Rico. This program focuses on Sustainable Materials Management (SMM), which includes reduction, reuse, recycling, food preservation, and composting. GREEN-PR was established to create a replicable model for environmental education and stewardship. It aims to empower local NGOs by providing them with trained interns who can assist in implementing SMM programs in various settings, such as schools, community centers, and events

The SWANA Caribbean Chapter has been a proud participant in the GREEN-PR Network for several consecutive years. This partnership has been mutually beneficial in several ways:

By being part of the GREEN-PR Network, the SWANA Caribbean Chapter continues to advance its mission of promoting sustainable waste management practices while providing valuable learning experiences for the next generation of environmental leaders.
